How did you get in to yoga?
I have been dancing Flamenco professionally for many years and thanks to the dance, I have come to understand the importance of breathing while moving and stretching. How has yoga changed you?
I stopped dancing six years ago to pursue another passion I have which is photography. Through this process I have found yoga to be the best alternative to keep my body active and my mind still and an amazing tool to accept myself and being truly present.
What is your favourite thing about being a part of the team at Yoga West?
I am really enjoying working at Yoga West in many aspects but I guess my favourite one is to have the opportunity to further develop my yoga practice. I am also able to develop my photography skills, being the person behind all the pictures you see for the studio.
What is your favourite yoga pose and why?
I love child pose, is the moment when you really stop to think about how your body feels
What is your power song?
I would say a flamenco song can be very powerful, Marina Heredia’s voice can be very touching. This would be one of my favourites:
What advice would you give to people who are considering taking up yoga?
Keep constancy in practice and you will see the transformation
