For some time members have regularly commented and we have felt that our hourly pricing system no longer works for the studio.  We’ve been meaning to address this for some time and have come up with a change of pricing proposal.

When we set up Yoga West all our classes were an hour but now the majority of our classes are over an hour. The hours system is opaque, leaves people with little bits of time here and there and often causes confusion. We wanted our pricing to be simple to operate and understand, fair and transparent.

We are proposing a new pricing system from the beginning of July based on pricing for classes not hours. The average class (weighted for attendance) at Yoga West is now just under 75 minutes and growing. As such we need to charge about 20-25% more for classes than hours. We also saw this as an opportunity to make things as simple as possible and to let go of options people don’t really use.

We’re delighted to announce that we have a new senior Ashtanga teacher and a new Ashtanga schedule.

We’re very happy to welcome Titi Rylander to Yoga West. Titi is our new senior Ashtanga teacher. She is an Authorised Ashtanga teacher and currently works under the UK’s only Certified Ashtanga teacher Hamish Hendry at Ashtanga Yoga London.

To read about Titi and her journey from couture to Ashtanga please click here. Titi will take Mysore on a Wednesday morning (you can arrive for class anytime from 6:30 to finish at 8:30 am) and Ashtanga on a Monday later afternoon from 16:15-17:15 and on Sunday morning from 8:30-9:45 am.

Jenny Fearnley will continue to teach the Ashtanga on Saturday morning 8:30-9:45 am and on a Tuesday evening  from 20:00-21:15.

Alex Blanchflower is now off on maternity leave from this week but will be popping in to attend pregnancy classes for the next few months.

We are confident these changes will support and deepen your practice - we look forward to seeing you in class soon!
